Carrie Diaries Style- 80's Inspired

For those of you who have not seen the Carrie Diaries, go straight to your TV, flip on the CW, and spend the next 4 hours catching up on this amazing series! The show takes place in the 80's were Carrie Bradshaw, from Sex and the City, is growing up! The outfits Carrie wears blows me away- bright colors, fun patterns, mix+match designs..AHH I am obsessed with the 80's clothing! Want to add some 80's into your wardrobe? Let me help you!

Carrie's Outfits: 

In order to achieve these looks, color and bold patterns are essential. In Carrie's outfits she wears lots of bright colors and she mixes and matches different patterns such as the first one: kiss prints with polka dots. The 80's look is very preppy with blazers and big dresses/ skirts. Here is how to take on this 80's look into your everyday wardrobe:

Pants: Patterned or bright- colored. Polka dot pants are HUGE now and can be found at J-Crew, Paige Jeans, Nordstrom, American Eagle... Carrie Rocks them in the first picture! Buy your polka dot pants today- so classy, such a statement, and very easy to piece items with it!

Colors, colors, and MORE colors: 80's clothing is always very bright and colorful, so add bright colors to your wardrobe! Wear bright shirts, pants, or accessories! So easy, yet so 80's and Carrie inspired!

Day at work

Today at Nordstrom, I noticed spring has SPRUNG into the store! Bright colors are splashed every where! Some trends I noticed that are coming into this spring season: denim! Denim shirts, denim jackets, vests, dresses, you name it!! Get ready to strut in your denim!  Along with denim, cut- out shirts and dresses are going to be huge this season! Cargo and lace are also key features to add into your spring wardrobe! With this huge transition from winter into spring, I hope this entry helped you decide what to rock this  season!
